It what could be described as a "Dream Come True" for me, it appears that my favorite band is due to be finally reformed this spring. Last June Billy Corgan announced the intention to bring The Smashing Pumpkins back together, but we never heard anything else since then.

Well according to a post on a Billy Corgan's MySpace page, he is set to announce officially when the band, The Smashing Pumpkins, will return to the stage. Currently, NME is reporting that the Smashing Pumpkins are set to first play again at the Californian Coachella festival on April 30th, 2006. I'm still waiting to hear when the first Chicago show, at the Metro hopefully, will be.

Also not revealed is the lineup of the band, it's pretty certain that Jimmy Chamberlin will return but the rest are up in the air. Time will tell, until then it's only rumors.

A member of the phone ethusiast website HowardForums that goes by the name of bitslap47 has ported an application to Windows Mobile 2005 to allow you to listen to Sirius Satellite Radio via your Windows Mobile powered Smartphone. All you need is a valid Sirius username and password and also an unlimited dataplan on your Windows Mobile powered cell phone.

I've been using this all week at work on my new Cingular 2125 using a Sirius Radio Free Trial. Almost makes me go out and sign up for Sirius Satellite Radio, too bad I wouldn't get much use out of it other than at work. And the hassle of getting it installed in my car is also something that turns me off. I haven't decided what to do yet.

For more information check out Omega 2008's article on how to get Sirius Radio on your Smartphone. There he goes through all the information you need in order to get it working.

I found this interesting story over on John Dvorak's Blog, the story is about a kid who went to jail for telling his friends to hit F5 in hopes to crash a school's server. I was never a fan of the "intelligence" of my teachers when I was a kid, and it appears that the blind is still leading the blind.

On Wednesday morning, Forchione filed a felony criminal charge of disrupting public services against Michael W. Stone, 18, of 13634 Mogadore Ave. NW. Uniontown police arrested the Lake High School senior at the school.

The incident occurred Dec. 2. Using a school computer, Stone created a blog on a Web site that encouraged others to use a link to another site. Once at the second site, Stone told users to “hold down F5 to help crash my school server,” according to police reports.

John also points out other interesting displays of idicoy where changing a URL is hacking and holding down your shift key violates the DMCA. I'd check them out for a few laughs.
