I don't pretend to be a great photographer, but it's a hobby that captures my interest more and more as time goes on. Yesterday, Adobe released Lightroom Beta 4, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Lightroom is Adobe's professional photo workflow editor. It's free while in Beta as well!

So I wanted to use some new photos. So I headed outside and took some photos of myself with my backyard behind me. Here is what Lightroom allowed me to do with those photos.

For the first photo, I hit a setting that gave the sky predominance so I stuck with that. I'm not 100% happy with this one yet, so I may revise it still.

For the second photo, I wanted a pure B+W photo look. I like this one better because my face stands out more.

Today I forgot to prepare a lunch for myself at work, and I made a realization that I wanted to share. That realization was that this whole tainted spinach problem is really effecting my ability to eat healthy. I find it really hard to eat anything that is green, salads, veggies, etc right now in fear that it may be bad as well. Which really limits my meal possibilities at our office's cafeteria on days like today when I forgot to make a lunch.

It's like when you cook something and you get the idea in your head that maybe, just maybe, that an ingredient you used may have been old. Now no matter what you do, your mind will never let that thought of bad food go. Thus making it impossible to eat that meal without that thought in your head, which makes it appear to taste bad slightly. I have thrown out a few meals at home just thinking that the milk or eggs that I used may have been old, even though they were really fine.

Most healthy foods contain/contained lettuce or spinach. I can't even think about eating those foods now. So that means no salads, no sandwiches, no wraps, etc. I'll probably stick to mostly fluids and lean meats, without any greens, for a while now I think. Too bad I really like salads.

Well off to the cafeteria... sigh...
